Intermediate Band 

(3rd+ years)

This class is for students with prior band experience and is generally a two-year experience. The focus of this class includes continuing music theory and history, increased instrumental skills, and increased ensemble playing. All standard band instruments are accepted in this group and students may begin moving to other instruments as desired or needed. For example, a student may move from trombone to baritone, or a flute player may add piccolo. The directors of both Intermediate Band and Advanced Band will decide when the student is ready to move to Advanced Band. Students are expected to purchase the method book Standard of Excellence, Book 2 for their instrument.
